Why is it important to do a Soil Nail Wall?

For any kind of construction work, soil nailing is done to stable the soil. This method is mostly used to stable slopes, retaining walls or when excavations are done. Slender reinforced bars are used and these bars are called nails and hence the name, Nail soiling.

Soil nailing is generally done in places where landslide is a regular problem. Nails and steel reinforcement bars and inserted to the soil and then they are anchored to the soil strata.

Soil nailing is done after the soil testing investigation is done. The investigation shows the nature of the soil and whether a vertical construction be done.

Soil nailing is only done in places where soil is not stable or else construction cannot take place. This unique method involves from inserting the nails from the top and then moving to the bottom. This prevents from landslide at the time of construction.

Drilling is done into the ground where the nails have to be inserted. Once drilling is done by the ground engineering and construction services in Dubai, the steel bars are inserted. The opened part is covered by concrete.

Here are some the benefits of soil nailing

There is less environmental impact unlike heavy construction that creates a lot of noise and air pollution. Also, as the nails are shorter, it is easy to install them even in congested area. Unlike ground anchor walls, soil nail construction is quicker and uses fewer materials. This method can be used in remote area and smaller places as less and smaller equipment are used. Overall, soil nailing method is affordable unlike conventional nailing that cost more.
